What Areas Are Treatable With Shrink Wrap Liposuction?

Shrink Wrap Liposuction is a revolutionary procedure, pioneered by our very own Triple Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Raffi Hovsepian. The procedure is minimally invasive producing excellent results.  Using a fat melting technique along with skin tightening, laser technologies remove and tighten stubborn areas. The lasers induce collagen contraction, skin tightening, and the overall shrinkage of tissue.  In older forms of liposuction, just the fat was removed, potentially leaving sagging skin.  Now that isn’t a side effect thanks to Shrink Wrap Liposuction.

Shrink Wrap Liposuction makes it easier to access typically difficult areas to perform liposuction. Dr. Hovsepian uses this technique to target areas of the knees, arms, thighs, abdomen, back, and male breasts. For areas such as the arms, the tightening of the skin potentially eliminates the need for a much more invasive arm lift.  Same goes for areas of the abdomen, eliminating the possible need for an additional Tummy Tuck to remove excess skin.

Shrink Wrap liposuction specifically targets fat cells, essentially melting them with FDA approved laser technology. Reducing the risk of bruising and blood clots to almost zero. While the lasers melt the fat, they also tighten the surrounding skin, leaving no room for the appearance of sagging skin.

The recovery period for this procedure is greatly reduced from the recovery of traditional liposuction techniques. Since the fat cells are targeted directly, any nerves and blood vessels are left completely alone. If you lead an active life style, this is a great option for you. You will generally be able to resume your normal activities within a day following the procedure.  No one will even notice you were gone for a procedure!
